Depends on who you asked, Thai opinion on Chinese is as divided as Thai politic but positive overall
here is what I know (and as with my other similar answer to this sort of question - it based purely on my personal experiece and opinion I have stat or study to back it up so take it with your own risk)
- Some Thai (particularly the Thai-Chinese of older generation) tend to be positive toward Chinese and Beijing government in particular to the point that would make even a mainlander jawdrop.There are instance where we are treating some of Chinese official from Beijing and one of the guest sung one of Chinese revolutionary anthem or something with such passion that the Chinese official whispered to me later on with confusion that why do the guy like the PRC so much - I mean I don't even like my government that much -_-龍騰網 http://www.ktxyyo.live
- Most Chinese are viewed as very entrepreneurial (don't think I need to explain) and also a prefered business partner for many. However at the sametime they are also view as untrustable, irresponsible, and require extra care when in any sort of deal.

- On the other hands, the mainland Chinese are viewed in general as the loundest, rudest, dirtiest people ever (note that Taiwanese and Hong Kongese do not suffer similar stereotype)
- China has the dirtiest toilet ever (and no, that is not my word)
- Chinese in now the prefered second languages of the well educated younger generations (both of my nephew are studying Chinese on top of Thai and English - and they are just 5 years old)- The newer generation (my generation), however tend to not like Chinese that much.- Chinese in general, and the Beijing government in particular are viewed very favourably by the conservative Thai (who are often Thai-Chinese themselves)
- Thai in general, however, disapprove if China's action in South China Sea. However, many in military do also view China as psedo-allies (sort of), there are frequent mentions of PRC governmrnt supply Thai military with material against Soviet-Vietnam backed Lao when the situation is critical to us while the west left us to dry.
